Australia is renowned for its classic Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon blends, and the Haan Estate example is particularly representative of this truly delightful combination of varieties.
Coming from premium grapes grown on the Haan Estate in the heart of the Barossa Valley, the wines are fermented and matured separately in a combination of old and new French and American barriques.
The resultant wine has intense blackberry and mulberry aromas, smooth tannins, a hint of vanillan oak and the spicy, cigar box flavours derived from the Cabernet Sauvignon.
Cellar for a few years and then enjoy with bity cheese and rich casseroles.
